Description

Hijiriyama (聖山) is an anthropomorphic cat, and a member of a comission that was tasked with creating a method to effectively kill all humans, after it concluded that cats will become extinct by the 1980s unless humanity stops producing Parutanpaku.

In Kiri ni Musebu Yoru, he is a speaker at the National Cat Welfare Federation's emergency conference. In the emergency conference, he talks to the National Cat Welfare Federation's representatives about how the comission that he is apart of, concluded that cats will become extinct by the 1980s unless humanity stops producing Parutanpaku, came up with a method to kill all humans after fifteen years of research, and discovered Rirokotohi. Hijiriyama, himself was able to aid in the discovery of Rirokotohi after he came across its name in an old bookstore in Kanda, Tokyo and concluded that this was the chemical they were looking for, after reading the name backwards.
